ASSISTED STEERING SYSTEM When it comes to simplicity and stress-free in-field operations, the Trimble EZ-Steer™ assisted steering system is number one. The Trimble EZ-Steer system uses a friction wheel and guidance from the Trimble EZ-Guide® Plus lightbar and turns the steering wheel automatically, greatly reducing driver fatigue and allowing you to better oversee the implement or spray booms to improve the job quality.

ASSISTED STEERING SYSTEM
The unique EZ-Steer system turns the steering wheel for you by combining a friction wheel and motor with GPS guidance from the EZ-Guide™ Plus lightbar. Now, while the EZ-Steer system keeps you +/- 6-8 inches on line in any terrain, you can focus on many different tasks, such as spray or planter performance. Basically, the EZ-Steer system gives you time to ponder the fuel and input savings of straighter rows -while reducing driver fatigue.

EASY TO INSTALL AND OPERATE
The EZ-Steer system is easy to install, setup and use. Installation can be completed in less than 30 minutes with 1 wrench. No need for complex hydraulic interfaces. You can remove the system from a vehicle in a few minutes and never know it was fitted.

HANDS FREE ON ROUGH AND ROLLING TERRAIN TOO!
Trimble's exclusive T2™ terrain compensation technology gives the EZ-Steer user +/- 6-8 inch pass-to-pass accuracy and smooth hands-free driving on rolling, sloping or even rough terrain such as ditches waterways and terraces. This optional feature uses two accelerometers and two gyroscopes to compensate for roll and yaw. Information from these sensors, located in the steering controller, is used at 10 times per second to compensate the GPS position for sloping and rough terrain - as illustrated by the diagram below.

Additional Information

-Price of Ez-Steer $3495 (list price) without T2 compensation, $4395 with T2

You can also upgrade to the T2 at a later time for $995

-EZ-Steer can be used with your existing GPS receiver assuming it outputs the correct data.

-The EZ-Guide plus uses the WAAS signal for corrections (accuracy of 4-8 inches, 3 feet repeatable).   For higher accuracy operations it is suggested to use the OmniSTAR HP or XP signals.  To use these signals you will need a 252 receiver or 332 receiver

Accuracies

Signal Pass-to-Pass Repeatable
WAAS, CG Beacon 8-10" 3 feet
Omni-Star XP 3-5" 7"
Omni-Star HP 2-4" 4"
RTK 1" <1"
